It is on my desk calendar; both of them. I'd be curious to know what people who lived through the Civil War and perhaps lived 50 more years thought about such things. If they were quite young, they might have even have lived till World War I. Did they still have ceremonies recognizing the importance and sacrifice of the Civil War? Were the veterans remembered? I'm certain that the polictically crowd will try to suppress any recognition of 9-11 as an act of war. Even now you can see how this is happening. Mom

I'm right with you on checking things. I always found that touching the lock and finding it in the right place worked much better than my eyes. Most of the time I just avoid it completely and ask Jon whether the doors are locked. That goes much smoother. :)

That's not mechanical parenting as much as it is a comfort item. Josh eats blankets for Pete's sake! I'm glad that it's still working for you. Once he gets used to the crib and sleeping alone, he probably won't even need it anymore.

I believe the changing pad cover is more for the comfort of the baby. Those changing pads are plastic and really cold sometimes and your skin tends to stick to them a bit.

Well, as a mom with a son, I can tell you that for me, it eventually became less awkward. I have no trouble with changing his diaper or bathing him at this point or even inspecting him when necessary. Mostly I am just careful not to linger, you know?

It sounds like they thought you only ordered one combo period. I've never had trouble with Chick Fil A but we very seldom go there.
