I believe the changing pad cover is more for the comfort of the baby. Those changing pads are plastic and really cold sometimes and your skin tends to stick to them a bit.

Well, as a mom with a son, I can tell you that for me, it eventually became less awkward. I have no trouble with changing his diaper or bathing him at this point or even inspecting him when necessary. Mostly I am just careful not to linger, you know?

It sounds like they thought you only ordered one combo period. I’ve never had trouble with Chick Fil A but we very seldom go there.

You are so right! I feel the same way. My baby is almost seven months and people still thinks he looks like dad. He has my eyes, nose, eyebrows, face shape, yet he looks like dad. I give up

Put Chris at ease! I completely appreciate your last post regarding bodily functions Not many are brave enough to discuss them, and they happen to every new mother! I don’t think there is a chapter in “What to Expect..” on vaginal belching, but maybe there should be?

I also wanted to let you know that the Nuva Ring is amazing, and you will love it. It’s a little finicky at first, (I’ve heard to try putting it in a tampon applicator) but absolutely the best birth control ever! I just went back to it after trying to go back on the pill, and after 2 months of migraines (which I’ve never had before), fatigue, and emotional outbursts, I’m back on the ring and loving it!

BTW, I love your blog, and hearing about my nephew, and his wonderful parents! He is one lucky boy!

Hey, what’s even better is when they tell you that you should go ahead and start brushing their gums. Apparently it gets them used to the brush and helps the gums or some such. I laugh in the faces of those people that think any new parent has so much free time that they are thinking, “Hey, what could I do right now? Forget showering or napping, no, I’ll brush the baby’s gums!”
